Design a touch screen game for children with severe disabilities with a focus on sensation and without menus to give this vulnerable target group engaging and fulfilling experiences
One of the many activities of Visio is teaching children at their own Visio schools. They stimulate every pupil with a visual disability and multiple disabilities to grow into self-aware world citizens with a fitting perspective on the future. They employ digital tools to aid in this process.
For this challenge, they invite you to create an extremely simple to master but engaging game for children with severe multiple disabilities (EMB). This challenges you to focus on sensation and game feel.
The game should start and be operated without any menus or settings. It should be forgiving but responding to touching, letting go, and dragging, without being repetitive and ideally adaptive to the skill of the player. Sound must play a large role.
